Despite Bitcoin’s recent modest increases, Florian Grummes, managing director of investment advising firm Midas Touch Consulting, thinks that the asset’s next bull run will take more time. The next surge, according to Grummes, is probably going to happen six to twelve months before the May 2024 Bitcoin halving event. Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a producer of chemicals in Saudi Arabia, recently announced the start of a blockchain pilot project in collaboration with Finboot. The Bank of Central African States’ board has asked the region’s financial regulator to establish a standard digital currency in order to advance financial inclusion and update the region’s payment infrastructure. One of Spain’s largest communications firms, Telefonica, has declared that it will strengthen its metaverse investment by backing Gamium, a Spanish virtual world initiative.
