– Facebook Goes All Out Into Metaverse, Launching META Stock Ticker
Despite harsh criticism and a plummeting stock price after Facebook made its metaverse goals clear by rebranding as Meta, the company is sticking to its convictions nonetheless. Meta has already confirmed that its Nasdaq ticker will change to META on June 9th. – Binance Has Established A $500 Million Fund To Promote Web3 Adoption
Binance’s venture capital and incubator arm announced the closing of a $500 million fund, which was backed by global institutional investors DST Global Partners and Breyer Capital. The fund, according to Binance Labs, will invest in projects that will expand the use cases of cryptocurrencies while also promoting the adoption of Web3 and blockchain technology. – Bitfarms Holds $192 Million In Bitcoin After Mining 431 BTC In May
According to information from Bitfarms (NASDAQ: BITF, TSX: BITF), a publicly traded bitcoin mining company’s production and mining update for May 2022, it reveals that 431 BTC worth $16.6 million were mined.m429 BTC (99.5%) of the 431 BTC mined last month were taken into custody. In May, FTX overtook Coinbase as the second largest centralized crypto exchange by market share. During the month, Binance was by far the most dominating competitor in the market, with a 64.1 percent share, followed by FTX (10.8 percent) and Coinbase (9.6 percent). India leads the world in NFT gaming, with the highest percentage of respondents (34%) having played a P2E game. With 29%, Hong Kong is the next highest country, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 27%. Only 6% of French respondents had played a P2E game, but that number is likely to climb to 15% by the end of the year. Peru (up from 13% to 29%) and Spain are the other notable movers (8% to 17%). Kenya’s big energy production company KenGen has offered to supply Bitcoin mining companies with extra geothermal electricity. Companies headquartered in Europe and the United States are thought to be interested in utilizing KenGen’s surplus energy. The Cardano Foundation published a monthly summary of on-chain data recently. With the project catalyst, a total of 947 ideas have been funded. Meanwhile, the number of transactions on the blockchain has increased by 7.74 percent to 42.5 million.
