For the first time in more than two years, the average transaction cost on the Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain dropped below $1.00, further supporting its viability as a mainstream financial system. The average Bitcoin transaction cost was $0.825 as of Monday, which is lower than it had been since June 13, 2020. – Largest Amount Of BTC Now In Possession Of Dormant Bitcoin Addresses

The total amount of Bitcoin kept in inactive addresses during the past five years reached an all-time high of 17.87 million BTC as of August 22. Over 90% of the 19.12 million Bitcoin currently available are stored in dormant addresses. Based on Bitcoin’s market value of around $21,200, the highest ranking dormant address holds 79,957 BTC, or over $1.6 billion.
