– Hermès, A Luxury Brand, Enters Metaverse With Crypto And NFT Trademark Application
Hermes, a high-end brand, has filed trademark applications for the terms Crypto and NFTs. In an effort to diversify into the NFTs and virtual goods marketplaces, Hermes submitted a trademark application for its name. Hermes will provide user authentication services using e-commerce technology, along with other features, in downloadable computer game software if the trademark application is approved. – San Francisco-based, Binance.US Is Now Supporting Cardano (ADA) Staking
According to a recent release, Binance, US has added Cardano (ADA) staking support. The ADA cryptocurrency has an annualized return on the trading platform of 6.4%. In June, the exchange added functionality for high-yield staking in an effort to take on Coinbase. – The California Assembly Passes Crypto Bill Mandating Crypto Business To Get License
A new law that will require digital asset exchanges and other crypto businesses to seek a license in order to operate in California is expected to be signed by California Governor Gavin Newsom. The Digital Financial Assets Law, also known as California’s “BitLicense,” is modeled after the 2015-implemented BitLicense law in New York. – Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Records New High Since January 2022, Hits 9% Increase
According to Glassnode data, the difficulty of mining Bitcoin (BTC) has increased by 9.26% to 30.98 trillion at block height 751968, the highest level since January 2022. The indicator implies that despite the asset’s generally subpar performance in August, more miners are entering the network. Once the Merge has occurred, NFT marketplace OpenSea has said that it would only support the proof-of-stake version of Ethereum. On September 1, the business tweeted that it would only allow NFTs on the updated Ethereum PoS chain. In order to ensure a smooth transition to Proof-of-Stake, it has also been getting ready for it.
