Popular cryptocurrency exchange ZebPay has launched a new initiative allowing Indian users to seamlessly transfer their Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) from the Brave browser to the ZebPay platform.
As crypto adoption grows in the South Asian nation, exchanges are introducing innovative ways to cultivate mainstream engagement. By enabling the transfer of BAT rewards earned through internet browsing, ZebPay aims to unlock added value for Indian users.
As explained on ZebPay’s website, users simply need to link their Brave and ZebPay wallets to transfer earned tokens over from Brave. With BAT in their ZebPay portfolio, they gain expanded options to hold, trade or invest in other digital assets.
ZebPay recognizes the Brave browser’s growth in India, noting over 2 million active users in the country rewarded with BAT each month for viewing privacy-focused ads. Transferring these tokens straight to ZebPay “completes the cycle of earning and redeeming BAT”, according to the exchange.
To encourage participation, ZebPay is also providing cash incentives. The first 500 users to complete a transfer and boost their BAT holdings on the platform will receive an additional 50 BAT tokens worth around $15.
For Indian crypto enthusiasts already active with Brave, this partnership streamlines the process of accessing broader in-platform opportunities at ZebPay such as trading, lending, savings accounts and investments in crypto assets beyond just BAT.
Combined with India’s steadily growing internet usage, initiatives like this could prove pivotal in exposing larger audiences to real-world cryptocurrency applications tailored for the local market. For ZebPay, it presents a way to deepen engagement among an emerging base of Indian crypto users.
