Tether Operations Limited (Tether), the technology company supporting the blockchain-enabled platform that powers the largest stablecoin by market capitalization (USD₮) and the Swiss City of Lugano announced today dates for the second inaugural Plan Summer School program.

The Plan ₿ Summer School was founded last year with the aim of making blockchain education accessible and shaping a new generation of business owners, students, researchers, and more with a passion for learning about the future of blockchain technology and exploring new environments.

“Providing high-quality education is essential to mainstream adoption of blockchain and realizing the long term potential of this groundbreaking technology,” said Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s CTO. “The Plan ₿ Summer School will give participants the opportunity to work closely with leading industry experts to develop prototypes and gain deeper insights into innovations transforming finance and society.”

This year’s two-weekSummer School curriculum will explore Bitcoin, Lightning Network, stablecoins, peer-to-peer networks, mining, blockchain forensics, regulation, self-custody and other topics. Students can choose from two tracks:

The Satoshi track for beginners with little coding experience interested in fundamentals or

The Pear track for intermediate to advanced learners passionate about building on Peer-to-Peer protocols.

“We look forward to welcoming the Plan ₿ Summer School again and hope to see similar enthusiasm and attendance as last year. Lugano is cementing its reputation as a hub for crypto education, innovation and community,” said Mayor Michele Foletti. “Together with partner universities, we aim to cultivate talent and forge Lugano as a center for the future.”

Distinguished leaders from Tether, Blockstream, Zuckbucks, UTrust, cybersecurity and academia will share their expertise as guest lecturers including Paolo Ardoino, Adam Back, Giacomo Zucco, Sanja Kon, Riccardo Masutti, and more.

Pro-Rector Luca Maria Gambardella believes “ The Summer School reinforces collaboration on education and attracts global experts, students and professionals to Lugano, strengthening its role as a place for study, networking and exchange.”

SUPSI Director Emanuele Carpanzano said “We’re thrilled to contribute to this educational proposal aligned with our mission: transmitting knowledge and skills while connecting students, professionals and partners.”

Franklin University’s Taylor Institute President Kim Hildebrant and Dean Dr. Branko Sain declared, “Lugano’s Plan ₿ is an ambitious project for an ambitious city. We immediately recognized shared goals with the Mayor and team around hosting the first edition last year and this year’s privilege. At Franklin University Switzerland, we believe progress on social, environmental, economic and technological fronts requires positive change fostered by education and courageous leadership like Lugano’s. “
