The Central Bank of Ireland has awarded Gemini, a cryptocurrency custody and exchange based in the United States, an electronic money (e-money) license. According to The Irish Times, the crypto exchange originally filed for the license in early 2020, partly owing to the impact of Brexit. On Monday, the emirateâs free zone, Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), released a consultation paper titled âProposals for upgrades to capital markets and virtual assets in ADGM.â The publication includes proposed guidelines for nonfungible token (NFT) trading, among other asset types.
