Bengal Energy, a Canadian oil and gas business, is said to be planning to use “stranded” gas well energy to power bitcoin mining operations. OctaPharma Plasma, a pharmaceutical company based in the U.S that collects plasma for life-saving drugs, has teamed up with Swan Bitcoin and Spade Payment Solutions to allow people to be compensated in bitcoin for donating plasma. In a test rollout across 32 locations, plasma donors can receive $100 in BTC for their donations up to twice a week.
