â Uniswap Launches A Tool To Make Crypto Donations To Ukraine Easier
Following Russiaâs invasion of Ukraine, tens of millions of dollars in cryptocurrency were contributed to the Ukrainian government. Uniswap, a decentralized exchange (DEX), has developed an interface that allows users to convert any ERC-20 token to Ethereum and give it to the Ukrainian government in a single transaction. â In A Historic First, Ukraine Announces A Token Airdrop
The Ukrainian government has stated that everyone who donates to their ethereum address will receive a token airdrop. That is according to the Ministry for Digital Transformationâs official Twitter account for the Ukrainian government. â The Bitcoin Ban Has Been Removed From EUâs Crypto Regulations Draft
A provision of a proposed European Union bill that would have made it unlawful for crypto services to deal in coins based on proof-of-workâthe consensus technique Bitcoin and Ethereum use to âmineâ new currency and secure their networksâhas been canceled. â Solana Tops Largest Blockchain As Per Staking Value, Followed By Terra (LUNA)
According to data from Staking Rewards, Solana is currently the most staked asset among all major cryptocurrencies in terms of total value staked. Solana takes the top spot among the most heavily staked cryptocurrencies, with $39.3 billion worth of SOL staked directly on numerous platforms. â During February, Bitcoin Miners Made Little Over $1 Billion In Income
According to data published by The Block Research, bitcoin miners made $1.06 billion in income in February 2022. The majority of these funds came from the block subsidy ($1.05 billion), with only a minor amount ($12.92 million) coming from transaction fees. Revenues fell for the fourth month in a row in February, with a 12.9 percent loss from January to February. Vodafone has announced the launch of a blockchain-based platform that allows connected devices to make secure automated transactions on behalf of customers. â One-Third Of Women Intend To Purchase Cryptocurrency This Year
According to a new survey performed by BlockFi, about one-third of women expect to purchase cryptocurrencies this year. Sixty percent of the ladies stated they intend to purchase digital assets in the next months. This is more than double the 29% of women who said they would buy in the next year in a September 2021 study. Women are also buying bitcoin, dogecoin, and ether, at 71 percent, 42 percent, and 18 percent, respectively. Read Full on blockworks.
â Ukrainian Hashrate Donation Started By The Bitcoin Mining Pool, Braiins
Braiins, the bitcoin software business behind Slush Pool, the worldâs first bitcoin mining pool, has launched Hashrate for Ukraine. Itâs an initiative that allows users to donate a portion of their hashrate to the Return Alive Foundation, a non-governmental group in Ukraine. â Dogecoin Donations Are Accepted By Ukraineâs Government
According to a tweet from Ukraineâs Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, the Ukrainian government is now taking Dogecoin donations. Fedorov enlisted the help of Dogecoin creator Billy Markus to help raise funds. Markus responded to the tweet by expressing his dissatisfaction with the choice.
