Hong Kong Regulator Reports Plan To Launch Mainstream Crypto ETF
With crypto moving into the mainstream, various jurisdictions are launching related products amid increased demand from investors. In this line, Hong Kong is the latest region to announce plans to launch a crypto exchange-traded fund (ETF) targeting mainstream cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC). Mercado Pago Launches Crypto Trading Services In Mexico
Mercado Pago announced the launch of cryptocurrency trading services in Mexico. The company has already launched this type of service in Brazil, serving 1 million customers in the country, allowing them to buy, store and sell BTC and ETH. Dogecoin Cashback Now Approved By Revolut, UK’s Biggest Fintech Firm
Revolut is the only company licensed to offer cryptocurrency products by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and revolut’s Crypto General Manager notes that the Revolut app now offers more than 100 crypto. Coinbase Files An Amicus Brief Against The SEC’s Lawsuit On Ripple
The latest company to support Ripple Labs in its legal battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is American cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. The case could be resolved as early as the first half of 2023. Paul Grewal, chief legal officer at Coinbase, revealed that the exchange had requested permission from the presiding judge to submit an amicus brief, arguing that the case was unjust. Stephen Curry has filed a trademark for “CURRYVERSE,” The trademark application covers a large number of Web3-related services.
