– Nigeria Releases Crypto Asset Rules, To Boost Trade In The Country
Nigeria has issued new guidelines for digital assets, providing greater clarity on cryptocurrency trading in Africa’s most populous country. The assets are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission as securities. The laws could increase trade by providing greater transparency in a country that is already one of the largest marketplaces for digital assets. – Coinbase CEO Claims That Cryptocurrency Will Recover And Account For 15% Of Global GDP
Coinbase founder and CEO Brian Armstrong remains Bullish despite the recent market downtrend, predicting that cryptocurrency would account for 15% of global GDP in 20 years. He likened crypto to the early days of the Internet, when e-commerce was born in the late 1990s or early 2000s. – El Salvador President Nayib Bukele Will Discuss Bitcoin With 44 Countries
President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador says that 32 central banks and 12 financial authorities from 44 nations will meet today to discuss financial inclusion, the digital economy, and El Salvador’s Bitcoin rollout. The National Bank of Rwanda, Nepal Rastra Bank, Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA), Kenya, State Bank of Pakistan, General Superintendency of Financial Entities of Costa Rica, and others will be among the 44 countries represented.Read Full on Bitcoin Magazine.
– Ethereum Hashrate Reached An All-Time High While The Market Goes Downtrend
On May 13, 2022, at block height 14,770,231, Ethereum’s hashrate reached an all-time high (ATH). The network reached 127 petahash per second (PH/s), and the processing power is currently running at 1.18 PH/s. Miners have been working on the Ethereum network and will continue to do so until the network transitions to proof-of-stake (PoS). – Cardano’s Vasil Hard Fork Going Well, Testnet To Launch By May Ending
The Vasil Hard Fork, according to Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, is still on track. The Vasil Hard Fork, scheduled for June 29, will bring significant improvements to Cardano and its smart contract platform, Plutus. According to Charles Hoskinson, the testnet could go live by the end of May.
