– Bank Of Tanzania Starts Preparations For The Launch Of Its Own CBDCs

Bank of Tanzania, the country’s central bank, kicks off the process of launching its own digital currency, as Governor Florens Luoga reportedly reveals the news at the central bank-organized 20th Conference of Financial Institutions (COFI) on Thursday. – Litecoin And Solana Based Investment Products Outperformed Bitcoin

Bitcoin-based investment products are facing stiff competition from altcoin-based products, according to cryptocurrency data firm CryptoCompare. In a new report, BTC-based investment products were outperformed by Solana and Litecoin-based products, led by 21Shares’ ASOL (Solana-based product) and Grayscale’s LTCN (Litecoin-based product), which returned 22.0% and 14.9% respectively. Recent study by the latest Finder online survey shows about 8.3% of the 1,205 South African internet users own a non-fungible token (NFT). This makes South Africa the 12th ranked country with highest NFT adoption in the world. – Crypto Exchanges Now Under UK Digital Services Tax Levy In New Announcement

Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) recent update on regulations is the introduction of a digital services tax that will be placed on crypto exchanges operating in the United Kingdom. This means, Crypto exchanges in the UK will now have to pay a 2% digital services tax as per Telegraph report.
