The two most famous meme coins, Shiba Inu (SHIB/USD) and Dogecoin (DOGE/USD), have sustained investors’ attention ever since achieving gains that have been nothing short of incredible. Recently, however, SHIB broke a significant support level, shedding as much as 10% of its value.
The plunge only became more exacerbated after the Shiba Inu community (ShibArmy) bought the dip. Within four days, the meme coin lost another 35 percent.
Whale bought SHIB worth $50M
As values tanked, a crypto whale intervened, buying $50 million worth of Shib, CoinGape wrote. The dog-themed meme coin has become the most popular of its kind among the world’s 1,000 biggest Ethereum (ETH/USD) whales, who hold around 52 billion SHIB tokens worth just under $2 million in total.
To the moon and back
ShibArmy is by no means displeased. Recently, they published a picture of a truck with the message “Shiba Inu to the moon.” Members of the community have reported seeing the truck in their neighborhoods as demand for vehicles rises significantly in many countries.
Shiba Inu trucks visible across the globe?
According to members of ShibArmy, the trucks are becoming more and more popular with time. In a series of tweets, they claim that Shiba Inu is rising in demand. In the first three days of the year, the trucks have been spotted in Beijing, New York, Canberra, and Washington.
SHIB listed on 64 exchanges worldwide
64 exchanges around the world have listed Shiba Inu, which testifies to the fact that the meme coin has high relevance and liquidity and provokes a high level of interest. Another interesting aspect is that the lovable puppy has more than 2.2 million Twitter followers, more than any other coin.
Accepted as payment by 40K retailers and counting
Last but not least, Shiba Inu is accepted for payment by 40,000 retailers, who have contributed to its being brought mainstream without a doubt. They include companies like AMC, GameStop, and AskTheDr. Developers are working on the SHIBARIUM blockchain actively and over 1.1 million hodlers are holding the crypto in the hope of its value rising again.
