– Ukraine Uses $15 Million In Donated Cryptocurrency On Military Equipment
According to Alex Bornyakov, deputy minister of Ukraine’s Digital Transformation, Ukraine has spent $15 million of its bitcoin donations for war weapons, including bulletproof vests delivered on Friday. Bornyakov told Bloomberg in a Zoom interview that the government aims to quadruple the amount of cryptocurrency donations it has received so far (56.8 million) in the coming days. – Virginia Senate Approves State Banks To Provide Cryptocurrency Custody Services
The Senate of Virginia in the United States unanimously accepted a bill amendment request that now authorizes traditional banks to provide virtual currency custody services in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Delegate Christopher T. Head introduced the bill in January 2022, with the goal of allowing qualifying banks to offer crypto custody services. BitPay, a payment service provider, has announced that 1st Energy, an Australian energy company, now accepts cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu, through BitPay. BitPay accepts a variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin, and five USD-pegged stable coins, in addition to Shiba Inu (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDP and USDC).
