The Philadelphia 76ers and dynamically growing exchange Crypto.com announced a new partnership today, with which Crypto.com becomes the team’s official jersey patch partner. This is the first NBA partnership for Crypto.com, which has more than 10 million users worldwide. Fans of the team can buy their first-ever non-fungible token (NFT) on Crypto.com NFT.
Patch officially debuts on October 20
This season, each of the four versions of the team’s uniform will feature the Crypto.com patch on the left shoulder. It will be featured on all 76ers authentic jerseys NBA retailers sell as well. The patch makes its official debut on October 20, when the 76ers will play against the New Orleans Pelicans. The basketball team will reveal the new City Edition uniform in November, in memory of an iconic time in their history. Another unique NFT series will be launched then.
Chris Heck, 76ers President of Business Operations, said:
“We are thrilled to launch a long-term partnership with such a progressive team at Crypto.com, a company that shares our drive for greatness. Crypto.com will be woven into the fabric of our identity, and together, we will change the landscape for how crypto is integrated in sports. We will also leverage Crypto.com’s forward-thinking, global expertise to unveil our first-ever NFT program. These are the types of creative, innovative partnerships that we crave, and we’re thrilled to share this with our fans in Philadelphia and around the world for years to come.”
Kris Marszalek, co-founder & CEO of Crypto.com, added:
“We’re extremely excited to announce our partnership with the 76ers, becoming the first global crypto platform with an official jersey patch partnership in the NBA. The NBA is one of the most popular leagues in the world, and the 76ers were an obvious choice. Together we’re going to create integrated experiences for fans everywhere; our patch and court integrations are just the beginning.”
In-arena appearances and substantial media presence for Crypto.com
Crypto.com will also sponsor rewards for fans, appear in-arena on baseline and courtside on LED screens, present a Crypto.com school to educate fans on crypto, and be a part of the 76ers Fan Hub currency. Moreover, the partnership comes with a substantial media presence, including global, national, and regional TV broadcasts, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital channels, and more.
